Coaches' Corner

ACE Netball Club appreciates our coaches and the role they play in contributing to our Club. Full support is provided by our Coach Development Officer and two Coaching Convenors, including support at training and games if required, coach education sessions run by an external provider, online coach subscriptions, funding for coach accreditations and uniforms.

We encourage our coaches to have a player-centred approach to coaching. ACE requests expressions of interest from coaches each season. Coaches are appointed to teams based on the coach's preferences, skill level of the requested team and suitability by the ACE Committee and Coaching Convenors.

Team Dugout

Each Team has their own Team Dugout for the Coach/Manager to view and enter details of matches played, Best and Fairest, Coaches Award and team contact player details. 

Please ensure this information is kept confidential and permission sought before sharing player details.

How to Enter Best and Fairest/Coaches Awards/Votes and Game Scores

Once the Coach or Manager has the votes for Best and Fairest they can be entered into the ACE Website via the following Process.


Log onto the ACE Website www.acenetball.com.au

You can login by clicking on Login at the far Right hand side of the Banner at the top of the website
Enter you email address and password. (If you have forgotten your password you can select "Reset your password" to have it reset

Select My Details - far Right hand side of the Banner at the top of the website
Select the Team that you are entering the Information for
You will see the contact information for the team.
Scroll down to the bottom and you will see Match Reports
Select +Add Match Report
Enter the Date of the Match
Inter the Opposition Team Name and the score for the Match
Select the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Player of the Match.
You can also enter a report on the match it you want.
Select Done

NOTE only the Coach and Manager can see the 3 2 1 points.  The rest of the team can only see the date, score and any information you entered into the Match Report section.

2025 PRNA Team Fines for Non-Compliance

From Round 5 the following applies to all Clubs and Teams 

Loss of points- refer to 8.9 Fixtures- prior to this rounds 1-4 emails to clubs as a reminder may be sent out.
8.1.     Loss of Points
8.1.1.    After round 5, club teams may incur penalties resulting in loss of competition points. These penalties are:

Player not assigned as a fill in on NC app
Minus 5 points
Player not being marked as playing in NC app
Minus 3 points
Player playing down a grade
Minus 3 points
Playing a modified player in a competitive grade
Minus 3 points
Playing an Unregistered Player
Minus 3 points
Playing a player outside of the designated age bracket
Minus 3 points
Playing a player across two teams in a grade
Minus 3 points
After grading is complete: Transfer player within a division
Minus 1 point
Not advising of a forfeit within the 1hr prior to game start time
Minus 1 point
After grading is complete: Transfer player to a lower division
Minus 1 point

 

In NC app the manager or coaches- should swipe the player as playing the game or taking the court.  This is for insurance purposes.

Ladder calculations- PRNA use the below method from the fixtures policy.
8.1.1.    If a tie of points occur and any position is to be decided by goal count, this is done on the percentage basis below:
